Next Thursday, November 30, the World Day of Cybersecurity or World Day of Information Security is commemorated. From the Xarxa Punt TIC, the awareness campaign and dissemination of interesting content recently promoted by the Internet Segura program and by the Agència de Ciberseguretat de Catalunya in the framework of the European Cybersecurity Month is back. So, the focus is on four key aspects: updating the different types of browsers, ransomware, phishing and data theft.
The World Day of Cybersecurity or World Day of Information Security is celebrated annually on November 30 in memory of an event that occurred on November 30, 1988, when the first case of spreading occurred of malware on the network. Specifically, the 'Morris Worm' affected 6,000 computers out of the 60,000 computers that made up ARPANET, the forerunner of the Internet. In this framework, the World Day of Cybersecurity or World Day of Information Security seeks to promote prevention in the digital world.
