The SmartCAT strategy of the Generalitat de Catalunya and Ubiqum Code Academy have launched the "Women Who Code" grants, within the framework of the Girls in ICT Day. They are aimed at women between 22 and 30 years of age and offer a 25% discount on an intensive web development course.
The scholarships are for the "Java Web & Mobile Developer" course taught by Ubiqum. It is a 800-hour training course that is developed for 20 weeks. It is open to women without programming experience, who will become "Junior Full Stack Developer".
10 scholarships are offered for women between 22 and 30 years old, of Spanish nationality or with a work permit in the European Union, with a higher university degree in a discipline of sciences or engineering and with a level of conversation in English medium/high .
Candidates who meet these requirements may benefit from the "Women Who Code" grant, which offers a 25% discount on the price of the course, valued at 8,000 euros, and the condition that they will only pay the total amount deducted ( € 6,000) when they have finished the training program and find work as web developers .
