The cooperatives BitLab, Quepo, Clack and Quesoni, with the collaboration of the Platoniq Foundation, have launched the initiative 'La Guixeta', an ethical digital platform for audiovisual content and cultural productions in Catalan. The initiative has emerged with the desire to respond to the need to collectively build a censorship-free platform using independent technologies. 'La Guixeta' aims to be a tool so that audiovisual programming and cultural consumption are aligned with the values of the social and solidarity economy, do not generate profits for large companies and preserve the rights of users.

The 'La Guixeta' initiative, a joint digital tool, allows sharing and consuming audiovisual content and cultural productions in Catalan and is built in a cooperative digital environment that uses ethical technologies in all dimensions of the platform, from servers to software. The initiative also seeks to improve the monetization of audiovisual content and cultural productions in Catalan so that most of the profits go directly to the creators. Currently, the development team is working on the final technical details of the ethical digital platform for audiovisual content in Catalan and the catalog and expects 'La Guixeta' to raise the curtain at the end of May.
