The Marc de Vilalba Library TIC Point in the town of Cardedeu proposes a new activity for families with the aim of creating new proposals to energize video game culture. Next Wednesday, June 28, at 5 p.m., he will organize an exciting journey through time. Under the title 'Fiction in Game: Samorost 2', young, middle and old can enjoy a cosmic adventure and accompany a very special gnome in the search for his dog, which has been kidnapped by some evil aliens. The Marc de Vilalba Library TIC Point will need the collaboration of the children and their families to organize a short expedition and rescue the frightened puppy. The activity will be animated by Sergi Portela and will feature background music by Tomáš "Floex" Dvořák. Later, at 6 p.m., the Marc de Vilalba Library TIC Point will coordinate a session for young people.
The activity has been devised by the Barcelona Municipal Libraries Network in collaboration with the CCCB. So, the Marc de Vilalba Library in the town of Cardedeu is one of the fifteen libraries that are part of the 'Fiction in Game' working group, which has the direction of the researcher in literature and digital fiction for children and youth Lucas Ramada The proposal aims to be an exercise in collective reflection to create a new shared knowledge around children's and youth digital literature, where libraries become authentic mediators in digital fiction. From this experience, a practical guide will be created that will collect the knowledge generated by the participants: from the specific didactic and mediation interventions appropriate to each type of video game to the analysis of the language and the impact they have.
During the month of July, new sessions of the 'Fiction in Game' activity will be scheduled. This time, the meeting will be entitled 'Travels Bibliofiuuuu: Becalm & 0º N 0º W' and will make children and their families travel digitally through environments full of surprises and experience a fun, exciting and refreshing summer.
