Under the title 'Let's decolonize technology', from March 4 to 6, SETEM Catalunya will organize the eleventh edition of the Mobile Social Congress with several talks, a free software workshop and a critical evening.

With the aim of shifting the focus of the Mobile World Congress celebration, on Wednesday 4 March, Thursday 5 March and Friday 6 March, SETEM Catalunya will promote a new edition of the Mobile Social Congress in the city of Barcelona. This year, the eleventh edition of the Mobile Social Congress will feature defenders of territories affected by mining and the plunder of natural resources linked to the production of electronics, will explore the possibility of a decolonial, anti-racist and feminist artificial intelligence, will talk about the impacts of the implementation of large data centres and will debate the contradictions of the energy transition and the need to forge collective alliances against Big Tech. As for the programming, on Wednesday, March 4, from 4 to 10 p.m., at the Canòdrom, there will be several talks, on Thursday, March 5, at the Canòdrom, a free software workshop for the management of organizations run by SomNúvol, and on Friday, March 6, at the Nau Bostik, a critical evening with testimonies of the impacts of the plunder of natural resources in the global south, Proyecto Una, No m'importa, the monologuer Alba Segarra and the musician Bigwé.
