The Itscool association will celebrate the VIII Itscool Day in the framework of the International Day of Girls in ICT and coinciding with the ten years since the foundation of the entity. Next Thursday, May 4, from 5 to 7:30 p.m., the Palau Macaya auditorium, located at Passeig Sant Joan, 108, in the city of Barcelona, will host the event. The meeting will seek to give visibility to the work done by organizations, institutions, educational centers and companies to motivate young people towards ICT studies. During the event, data will be shared on the growth in the number of students linked to information and communication technologies, the correspondence with the demand for these professionals in companies and the possible lines of work to advance the next years

Joan Cuevas, general director of innovation, curriculum, digitization and languages of the Department of Education of the Generalitat of Catalonia, will participate; Mercè Chacón, general director of Professional Training; Karina Gibert, vice dean of equality and ethics of the Official College of Computer Engineering of Catalonia; Núria Raventós, Oracle project manager; Alex Fabra, public sector partner Catalonia, Valencian Community, Balearic Islands and Aragon of NTT DATA; Jaume Valls, director of the University Quality Agency; Bernat Palau, member of the Executive Council of the Technological Circle and responsible for the Barometer; Núria Castell, former dean of the Faculty of Informatics of Barcelona, and Francesc Rambla, from the Secretariat of Digital Policies.
