The event # bitsxlamarató is   organized by the Faculty of Computer Science of Barcelona (FIB) , the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) , the Sant Joan de Déu Docent Campus , Hackers @ UPC , the Research Institute of Sant Joan de Déu , the Research Center in Biomedical Engineering (CREB) and rarehacks .

From the 13th to the 15th of December , around 500 students , educators , researchers and other professionals in the field of health and technology, will work as a team to find and develop solutions to different challenges to tackle minority illnesses to improve the quality of life of the people affected and their surroundings.

At the meeting, there will be talks with professionals in the medical field and the technologies and testimonies of some people affected by some minority illness that will propose their own challenges. You can find some of the challenges presented through this link .

On Sunday, the 15th, last day of the Hackathon, each team will present their presentation and demonstrations of the proposed solutions . The prize will be to find solutions and donations for the TV3 Marathon .
