As part of the Social Internet 2025 Dynamization Conference , which was held last Friday, June 13, in the morning, at the Espai Bital, in the town of L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, the Punt TIC Network paid tribute to Ricard Faura, who has been the head of the Digital Inclusion and Training Service of the Generalitat de Catalunya for many years. Specifically, in the last part of the annual meeting of the Punt TIC Network, an emotional video about his professional career was screened. The audiovisual production had the participation of four people with a strong connection with him: Sandra Ruiz, general director of Digital Economy and Society, Mònica Acebo, head of the Digital Inclusion and Training Service, Mercè Fort, facilitator of the Smartcentre TIC Point in Santa Bàrbara, and Ramon Oromí, facilitator of the gòTIC Point - Tàrrega City Council. "My words for the great teacher, Ricard Faura, are words of gratitude for all the welcome he gave me in October, when I arrived, and for the trust," says Sandra Ruiz. "Working with Ricard Faura has been a constant learning experience, every day, every year and every project. I especially remember the first time I had to speak at the Social Internet Dynamization Conference, where I was very nervous and I had his support to present a document with a lot of data about the Punt TIC Network," adds Mònica Acebo.
"Discreet, hardworking, fighter, wise, humble, great teacher and great person. Ricard, you have been one of the fundamental pillars of the Xarxa Punt TIC project. Thank you for believing in the territory and in people", says Mercè Fort. "Your way of understanding ICT, as a tool at the service of people and not the other way around, has been a reference for our path, accompanying processes, people and communities from proximity, conviction and a disruptive perspective. Thank you for all these years of presence, impetus and construction", says Ramon Oromí. Thus, the Social Internet Dynamization Day 2025 concluded with a message of warmth, gratitude and recognition towards Ricard Faura and his work at the head of the Xarxa Punt TIC.
