From the Technical and Promotion Office of the Punt TIC Network, we have prepared a collection of ten interesting resources to experience a technological, dynamic and fun summer. Over the past few months, we have shared literary recommendations, radio products and various proposals to enjoy new technologies with an open, refreshing, ethical, critical and conscious perspective. Discover the collection of ten resources!
1. Book 'Hidden by the Networks' by Cristina Fernández Rovira and Santiago Giraldo Luque
The proposal talks about the consequences of overexposure to social networks in adolescents and young people and how this problem is affecting their emotional, social and cognitive lives.
This is a recommendation from Marc Pons from the La Tribu bookstore.
2. Book 'The Virality of Evil' by Proyecto Una
This is a proposal that breaks many molds because it is one of the few books currently available that explains all these dynamics and where they have ended up through the Internet and within the digital world.
This is a recommendation from Laia Salvador from the La Carbonera bookstore.
3. Book 'How to Talk to Whales' by Tom Mustill
The proposal explains how, thanks to the technological revolution, society is on the threshold of knowing how whales communicate and, therefore, being able to communicate with them and with other animal species.
This is a recommendation from Marc Pons from the La Tribu bookstore.
4. Book 'Petita i Gran' by Alba Editorial
This is a collection of illustrated albums designed for little people that presents autobiographies of prominent women such as, for example, Hedy Lamarr, Ada Lovelace, Hannah Arendt or Rosalind Franklin.
This is a recommendation from Laia Salvador from the La Carbonera bookstore.
5. The Punt Òmnia Valls Podcast - Vallsgenera
As part of the Col·laboratorio de Valls initiative, the Punt Òmnia Valls - Vallsgenera is promoting a podcast on social and digital innovation. In the latest episode, David Gateu, promoter of the Punt TIC, has an interesting conversation with Miquel Barceló, PhD in Industrial Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia.
6. The Can Muntanyola ICT Point Podcast
The Punt TIC of Can Muntanyola, with the support of the Granollers City Council, promotes the podcast 'Kit Kat Digital'. Hosted by Núria Lloret, the facilitator of the Punt TIC, it focuses on digital well-being, a new concept that encompasses technology from a conscious use, and delves into health, communication and relationships.
7. The List
This is a digital tool that brings together content creators who use Catalan as their main language on social networks. Currently, profiles are classified into two large groups: leaders, that is, the most consolidated profiles, and emerging, that is, the most recent profiles that stand out for their potential growth. The initiative allows browsing through topics such as, for example, education, lifestyles and sports.
It is a digital tool that allows sharing and consuming audiovisual content and cultural productions in Catalan. The initiative is built in a cooperative digital environment that uses ethical technologies in all dimensions of the platform. The objective is that audiovisual programming and cultural consumption are aligned with the values of the social and solidarity economy, do not generate profits for corporations and preserve rights.
9. Story 'Julia and the enchanted mobile'
As part of the Sant Jordi Day, the Punt Òmnia gòTIC Tàrrega shared a special gift: the story 'La Júlia i el móvil encantat'. In this beautiful way, the Punt TIC continues to work on the relationship between children, adolescents and young people with screens and the key role of families in offering digital support, promoting the responsible use of new technologies and taking care of the digital rights of minors.
10. ICT Families
The Families TIC blog has around fifteen resources that aim to publicise and bring forward proposals, guidelines or ideas to promote the critical and responsible use of new information and communication technologies among the different members of the family. In this sense, the resources are distributed in four areas: prevention and awareness-raising, support for families, attention to problematic use and cybersecurity. In the Families TIC blog, you will find resources of different types such as, for example, games, interviews, articles, reports or infographics. The aim is to offer diverse and plural alternatives to delve deeper into the digital support of families in childhood, adolescence and youth and promote a healthier, responsible and critical relationship.
