The Department of Business and Labor of the Government of Catalonia and the Intelligent Data Science and Artificial Intelligence Research Center (IDEAI) of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya BarcelonaTech (UPC), with the collaboration of the i2CAT Foundation, continue to boost the course on artificial intelligence 'ciutadanIA' .
The training proposal, which is offered online, in Catalan, free of charge and open to everyone, is structured in ten thematic modules that revolve around automatic reasoning, data, computational linguistics, speech processing, computer vision, robotics, intelligent decision support systems, distributed intelligent systems and ethics in the field of artificial intelligence.
Icàtia, a virtual character, accompanies the users. Last May, the training was opened to the public and since then, citizens can have a basic training tool on artificial intelligence that allows them to acquire the general knowledge necessary to recognize where there is intelligence. artificial intelligence in the world around us, how to use it and how to interact with it safely, as well as what support it can provide to improve certain tasks in everyday life. Also, the training proposal shares several success stories and focuses on their relationship with the seventeen Sustainable Development Goals.
