The non-profit association El Racó dels Robotaires, with the collaboration of AI for Good, the Department of Education of the Generalitat de Catalunya, the Diputació de Girona and the Fundació Princesa de Girona, is working on the new edition of the ROBBERY . In this sense, the new edition of the non-profit educational robotics competition ROBOCAT will be organized next Friday, May 5, from 3 to 8 p.m., at the TecnoCampus Mataró - Maresme, which is located on Carrer d'Ernest Lluch, 32, in the town of Mataró.

Thirty-five teams will compete to promote learning in robotics and programming regardless of gender, socioeconomic status or financial ability. This year, the challenge of the seventh edition of ROBOCAT will be based on sustainable agriculture. Each edition, the theme of the event focuses on a global challenge in relation to which robots offer practical solutions to advance the seventeen Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations. In this sense, the participating people design, build and program a robot that completes a mission set in one of these problems. The ROBOCAT educational robotics competition seeks to promote STEAM vocations, equal opportunities, sustainability, digital literacy, commitment to the environment, the presence of girls in robotics, multidisciplinarity, cooperation in R & D + And free robotics.

Specifically, the grand final of the seventh edition of the ROBOCAT will be held next Saturday, May 13 at the Daina-Isard School, which is located at Carrer de la Cerdanya, 15, in the town of Olesa de Montserrat.
