The 'ATOM' (Omnichannel Technological Assistance) IT support service is an IT support service that helps and intervenes to solve any technical difficulties with the hardware for those who have a hardware assignment from the Secretariat of Digital Policies.

Through the email assistencia@atom.gencat.cat or by telephone 900 82 82 82, for incidents of the Xarxa Punt TIC.

The 'ATOM' (Omnichannel Technological Support) IT support service is the technological support and technical assistance service for those Punt TIC that have hardware provided by the Secretariat for Digital Policies.

The Technical and Promotion Office of the Xarxa Punt TIC (OTD) is responsible for providing support and advice to promoters and management entities of all Punt TIC, whether or not they have computer equipment provided by the Secretariat for Digital Policies. The team can be contacted by telephone at 902 365 209 and by email at oficina.tecnica@punttic.cat.

No, the IT support service only handles incidents or queries related to the hardware provided by the Secretariat for Digital Policies.

Those Punt TIC that do not have hardware provided by the Secretariat for Digital Policies cannot use the IT support service. The technical maintenance of the equipment and hardware of these spaces is the responsibility of their managing entity.

Yes, in this case, you must contact the Technical and Promotion Office of the Xarxa Punt TIC, by telephone at 902 365 209 and by email at oficina.tecnica@punttic.cat. The people who are part of the OTD are available to the promoters and the managing entities of the Punt TIC in case they need advice and support.

The managing entities of the Punt TIC make their technological equipment available to citizens and local agents. However, occasionally, the Punt TIC may request a transfer of hardware to meet the specific needs of their project and the groups. The transfer of hardware is conditional on the availability of equipment and the presentation of an intervention project to be developed by the Punt TIC.

The managing entity of the Punt TIC must submit the application through the Xarxa Punt TIC membership process, informing about the need for hardware and attaching an explanatory report of the project to be carried out. The Secretariat of Digital Policies will contact the Punt TIC to assess the application.

For more information, you can contact the Technical and Promotion Office of the Xarxa Punt TIC, by telephone at 902 365 209 and by email at oficina.tecnica@punttic.cat.

The technical characteristics of the hardware provided are:

  • all-in-one computers model Lenovo ThinkCentre M810z with i3 processor, 16GB of RAM and integrated 21.5-inch screen
  • WIFI access point model HP Aruba AP-207 802.11ac
  • 24-port switch model HPE 1920S 24G 2SFP

The computer equipment that the Generalitat de Catalunya makes available to the managing entities to form part of the Xarxa Punt TIC is configured with free software as a clear commitment to shared knowledge and the democratization of technology. The equipment provided comes with a model based on the Ubuntu 20.04 operating system.

The installation of any other operating system than the one officially provided by the Generalitat de Catalunya is prohibited. Any other operating system that is not the official one of the model and is installed on the computers of the Xarxa Punt TIC will be deleted during the remapping process carried out by the IT support service.

For more information and training on the model installed on Punt TIC computers, contact the Technical and Promotion Office of the Xarxa Punt TIC, by telephone at 902 365 209 and by email at oficina.tecnica@punttic.cat.

As established in the declaration of acceptance of new hardware, the conditions for the transfer to entities affiliated with the Xarxa Punt TIC are as follows:

  • Beneficiary entities must notify the Technical and Promotion Office of the Xarxa Punt TIC of the change of reference person regarding the management of the transferred hardware.
  • Entities that, at the time of installing the new hardware, have old hardware in disuse, undertake to value the equipment in order to evaluate its possible reuse in other services or uses. If it cannot be reused, the removal, scrapping and deposit will be done at a green point in order to reduce the ecological footprint.
  • The appropriate network installation must be ready before receiving the hardware, so that the computers have access to the Internet via cable and not via a WIFI network.
  • The new equipment must be located in a single space that the beneficiary entity must have ready before installation. Once installed, it cannot be separated into different spaces.
  • In order to guarantee the correct functioning of the hardware and the maintenance and technical assistance service, any transfer of material or relocation of the Punt TIC must be communicated to the Secretariat of Digital Policies by telephone at 902 365 209 and by email at oficina.tecnica@punttic.cat.
  • The Punt TIC must be correctly identified, in accordance with the corporate image of the Xarxa Punt TIC.
  • Annually update participation data in the activities of the Punt TIC, such as, for example, the number of users and people trained, the number of activities, the number of training courses and the type of activities and services, etc., through the private area of the website.

The transfer of use of this hardware is also subject to the obligations of service to citizens, communication and monitoring of the Punt TIC project to the Secretariat of Digital Policies and active participation in the Xarxa Punt TIC.

Failure to comply with any of these obligations will be grounds for revocation of the assignment of the hardware.

The Secretariat for Digital Policies, in coordination with the IT support service and the Technical and Dynamization Office of the Xarxa Punt TIC, offers:

  • Hardware installation and configuration.
  • Hardware maintenance and technical assistance.
  • Redesign of computers every 18 months.
  • Training on the hardware and on the benefits and obligations of being part of the Xarxa Punt TIC.
  • Registration of the equipment of the renovated Punt TIC.

If the Punt TIC has computers provided by the Secretariat of Digital Policies, any transfer and/or any new installation of this hardware must be carried out by the IT support service. Therefore, it is necessary to request the transfer to the IT support service by email at assistencia@atom.gencat.cat or by telephone at 900 82 82 82, who will contact the Punt TIC to agree on a date for its implementation. It is also necessary to notify the Technical and Promotion Office of the Xarxa Punt TIC, which will monitor it and update the corresponding data.

The new hardware location must meet the technical requirements necessary for installation.

If the IT support service must install the hardware provided by the Secretariat of Digital Policies, either at the time of approving the transfer or due to a transfer, the space where it is carried out must have minimum requirements:

  • The new equipment must be located in a single space. Once installed, it cannot be separated into different rooms.
  • The room must have a wired network installation for each of the computers, that is, the computers must be connected to the Internet via cable and not via Wi-Fi.
  • The cable network to connect computers to the Internet must be correctly installed before the date agreed with the IT support service for the installation.
  • Each computer requires a power point, that is, a plug to connect the computer to the electrical current.

It is also advisable to have a cabinet to concentrate the cabling that allows the equipment to be connected to the Internet. This way, you avoid having cables above the tables and disturbing users while carrying out the activities of the Punt TIC.

If you do not have the keys to access the "course" or "promotion" user profiles, contact the Technical and Promotion Office of the Xarxa Punt TIC by telephone at 902 365 209 and by email at oficina.tecnica@punttic.cat.
