Next Thursday, June 6, at 6:30 p.m., there will be a reflection on the digital divide and how it is crossed by various variables such as, for example, age, culture and gender. The Social Observatory and the KIMbcn Foundation will promote the event, which will take place at the CaixaForum Macaya, which is located at Passeig de Sant Joan, number 108, in the city of Barcelona, and which will have the participation of several professionals from the sector. First, Jordi William Carnes, president of the KIMbcn Foundation, will speak. This will be followed by Margarida López Romero, director of innovation and digital transformation at Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona, Joana Barbany i Freixa, director of business development at Michael Page and author of the book 'Rehumanizando la tecnología', and Genís Roca, president of the PuntCat Foundation and vice-president of the Barcelona Music Lab Foundation.

The digital transformation has turned digital skills into basic tools to be able to take advantage of new forms of communication and service provision, new professional profiles, new business opportunities for companies or new possibilities of access to information and public services . In this context, the talk will raise the importance of providing people at risk of digital vulnerability with means and skills to achieve real and sustainable social and technological progress, as well as provide keys, tools and resources to reduce the digital gap and build a more egalitarian and participatory society at all levels.
