This Sant Jordi, choose an ICT book!

1. 'The leadership of ants' by Áurea Rodríguez

Mercè Marcé from Punt TIC Vilafranca Virtual - Municipal Employment Office recommends it: "It is a fable halfway between science fiction and reality related to the role of technology and collective leadership in an era dominated by artificial intelligence. It is a read that induces us to rethink and reflect on the tandem formed between advanced technology and our potential as human beings."

2. 'Women of science, technology and thought' by Marta Aymerich and Àngels Fitó

Núria Ciller from the ICT Point of the Cervelló Municipal Library recommends it: "The book seeks to inspire new generations, especially girls, to pursue careers in STEAM disciplines, science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics, where the female presence has historically been scarce. The proposal is an invitation to claim the legacy of women in the fields of science and technology, both historically and today."

3. 'The Three-Body Problem' by Liu Cixin

The Mar Cases del Punt TIC Cultural Centre Can Gruart in Vilablareix recommends it: "When technology becomes the gateway to a cosmic enigma, only the most daring people dare to follow its trail and discover the answers. So, will you question what you know about science and the universe?"

4. 'Rehumanizing technology' by Joana Barbany

Mercè Fort of the Punt TIC Smartcentre in Santa Bàrbara recommends it: "Technology used well brings us closer, but technology that is poorly managed can disconnect us from ourselves and our surroundings. For this reason, it is necessary to find a balance between the digital world and the real world. Technology connects us, but it is we ourselves who must decide how to use it to achieve our well-being and comfort."

5. 'Future Geniuses: Robotics and artificial intelligence' by Carlos Pazos

Lady Pazmiño from Punt Òmnia Raval - Colectic recommends it: "Through an adventure full of curiosities and discoveries, Valentina and Turing introduce us to the world of robotics, algorithms and artificial intelligence. With simple language and fun illustrations, this beautiful book brings technology closer to children. A fun invitation to explore the future with a child's eyes and a scientific spirit."

6. 'Artificial Intelligence, Naturally' by Núria Oliver

Laura Herrero from Punt Òmnia Gornal recommends it: "Dr. Núria Oliver is one of the most recognized specialists in artificial intelligence internationally. Her book is a manual for coexistence between humans and machines so that technology becomes a benefit for all."

7. 'Ada's ideas' by Fiona Robinson

Esther Gibert from Punt TIC Palau recommends it: "Inspired by the real life of Ada Lovelace, the first programmer in history, it tells the story of a girl who dreamed of intelligent machines long before they existed. With beautiful illustrations, this book reveals how creativity and mathematics can profoundly change our world, our reality and our day to day."

8. 'The spring of artificial intelligence' by Carmen Torrijos and José Carlos Sánchez

Anna Planells from the Punt TIC Municipal Employment Service recommends it: "Artificial intelligence is revolutionizing the world, but is it really intelligent or does it only seem so? This book helps you understand how it works, dispelling myths and explaining with surprising examples its impact on our day to day. With a pleasant tone and ingenious examples, it deciphers the technology behind the great language models."

9. 'The political philosophy of artificial intelligence' by Mark Coeckelbergh

Jordi Mateu from Punt Òmnia Sant Antoni recommends it: "This book is about how artificial intelligence affects democracy, power, justice and society, inviting us to reflect on the governance necessary for this transformative technology. Despite the subject matter, it is not a cumbersome book and is stirring from the first page."

10. 'Makers: The New Industrial Revolution' by Chris Anderson

Juan Manuel Montero from Punt TIC Centre Cívic Vista Alegre (On Lab) recommends it: "A read that will make you reconsider the possibility of doing your own things and covering your needs. A book that will make your imagination fly and allow you to develop your creativity from a technological perspective."
