The European Digital Skills Awards 2023 want to recognize and promote European projects and initiatives related to digital skills. This year, a new call for successful awards has been launched and the Punt TIC La Florida - Les Planes from the town of L'Hospitalet de Llobregat has entered. The space, managed by the AEMA Foundation with funding from L'Hospitalet de Llobregat City Council, works to promote digital literacy, support digital procedures and advise young people, adults in the digital field and elderly people, as well as people at risk of social exclusion, unemployed or migrants. Specifically, the Punt TIC La Florida - Les Planes energizes a very interesting project with great social impact that works to reduce digital gaps and social exclusion in one of the neighborhoods with the highest population density in all of Europe. The initiative includes bringing services closer to citizens through the 'TIC Truck 6.0', a traveling digital support project located in a recycled shipping container that promotes support actions in different digital procedures.

The organization is currently assessing all the European projects submitted. Soon, the official verdict will be made public and the winning European projects in the five categories will be announced. In this sense, the European Digital Skills Awards 2023 reward the empowerment of young people in the digital sphere, inclusion in the digital world (where the Punt TIC La Florida - Les Planes has been presented), digital skills in the educational field, women in information and communication technologies and digital improvements in work environments.
