PowerUP is an entrepreneurial acceleration pilot program promoted by Sant Feliu Innova focused on video games and interactive digital leisure in Sant Feliu de Llobregat, which has selected 7 projects and 30 participants.

The project was presented with an opening presentation called "Videogames and social inclusion: that everyone can enjoy gamer culture", by the Sant Feliu man, a component of the Sant Feliu 2020 citizen innovation community and head of the Sant Feliu Media Club, Mikel Gómez Elzaurdia, and María Rubio Méndez, coordinator of the Ludosofía organization, an expert in video games and gender and with several publications about the gamer community from a feminist perspective.

The goal of this project is to become a specialized thematic accelerator focused on the improvement of a video game in the areas of design, production, marketing and business. All the trainers and mentors of this program are professionals in the video game industry with more than 15 years of experience and teachers of the most prestigious schools in regulated training in video games such as ENTI-UB and TecnoCampus.

Also, there will be a series of reinforcement workshops that will be defined according to the needs of the selected projects (Programming, 2D / 3D Animation or 3D Modeling) and will be taught by professional profiles of the videogame industry with experience in different Business.

A project with the perspective of the quadruple helix

PowerUP will mean the consolidation of the city of Sant Feliu de Llobregat in the accompaniment, acceleration and launch of innovative entrepreneurship projects. The Sant Feliu City Council, through the municipal innovation program, framed powerups in the local initiative for the validation of urban innovation prototypes.

In addition, the PowerUP project will work with the Catlab network of digital, social and collaborative innovation with the aim of articulating an open innovation system, for and from the territory, and that allows users to be incorporated from the beginning, so that they can create Disruptive innovation ecosystems and catalysts for change.
