Last February, the Punt TIC Smartcentre in Santa Bàrbara and the City Council of Santa Bàrbara, with the support of the Punt TIC Network and i2CAT, presented the 'Necesser TIC' with the aim of helping to break gender stereotypes and to do so especially within the field of technology. A year later, a total of 1,140 toiletry bags have been distributed throughout Catalonia. Over the past twelve months, the initiative that was born at the Punt TIC Smartcentre in Santa Bàrbara with the distribution of 600 original toiletry bags has added four collaborations. Specifically, the V-Tools organization in Prat de Llobregat has distributed a total of 200 toiletry bags as part of the 'If you don't experience it, you won't feel it' project to address violence against children, adolescents and young people using new technologies. Similarly, the Barcelona Education Consortium has distributed a total of 35 toiletry bags during the closing ceremony of the 'Be_Transdigital' program that accompanies the transition of training itineraries to promote the presence of women in the digital field. These 35 toiletry bags were redesigned by students of the training and insertion programs (PFI) of the Anna Gironella de Mundet Institute in the city of Barcelona .

Also, the Igualada City Council and the women's maker group of the Espai Malla d'Igualada have distributed a total of 60 toiletry bags at a conference on the balance between technology and humanity. Finally, within the framework of the 'DonaTIC' cycle, a cycle that aims to enhance the visibility and leadership of women in the new technologies sector, the Punt TIC Smartcentre in Santa Bàrbara, the FabLab TE in Amposta and the CoEbreLab in Móra d'Ebre have distributed a total of 245 toiletry bags. In essence, the objective of the 'Necesser TIC' initiative has been to deploy the concept of 'Necesser TIC' throughout the Catalan territory and by changing the perspective of this object, promote the visibility of women's talent and their capabilities within the technological sector and within the digital sector. What happens when a toiletry bag, an object mainly associated with women, contains a screwdriver, a network cable, an adapter or any other technological object? Join the 'Necesser TIC' campaign!
