The ICTWomen Awards are organized each year by the Department of Digital Policies and Public Administration with the collaboration of the Women, Business and Economy Observatory of the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce. They have the double objective of recognizing the fundamental role of women in the professional, business and academic world of new technologies, and offering references to girls and adolescents who doubt whether or not to dedicate themselves to STEM disciplines (science, technology, engineering and math) in the future.

A program on women, technology and trends in the United States and Catalonia

The event will be welcomed by Mrs. Anna Mercadé, president of the ICTWomen awards jury and director of the Observatory for Women, Business and Economy of the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce. Next, Mrs. Joana Barbany, general director of the Digital Society of the Generalitat of Catalonia, will give a brief explanation about the seventh edition of the awards.

From 6.15 pm to 7 pm, there will be a conversation about women, technology and the different trends in the United States and in Catalonia.
