On the occasion of the International Day of Girls in ICT, which was commemorated last Thursday, April 24, the Sarrià Chemical Institute has launched the 'Dream it, STEM it' campaign to promote STEM, science, technology, engineering and mathematics vocations among girls studying 4th year of ESO, baccalaureate and higher education. The initiative seeks to have female students record videos explaining the transformative potential of science and technology. The 'Dream it, STEM it' campaign invites female students to explain in a short video, about two minutes long, how STEM disciplines can make their dreams come true. The proposals must be made with their own audiovisual materials, may be recorded in Catalan, Spanish or English and must be published on the social network YouTube. A professional jury will evaluate all proposals received according to the academic soundness of the arguments presented, the social impact, the applicability of the idea, the originality, creativity and the communicative ability of the participating girl. From among all the videos presented, the professional jury will choose three winning proposals, which will be awarded scholarships to study STEM degrees at the Institut Químic de Sarrià and a cash prize. Likewise, all participating girls will receive a small gift from the Institut Químic de Sarrià.
