With the aim of supporting users in improving their digital skills, the Punt TIC offers a wide range of training proposals for all audiences.

"At first, we offered very basic training for a very specific group and, little by little, we have tried to innovate and add new training. Being a facilitator is a constant learning process," explains Esther Gibert, facilitator of the Punt TIC Palau. Currently, the Punt TIC Palau offers a wide range of training: spreadsheets, photography with a mobile phone, Internet browsing or using a mobile phone, among many others. "Soon, we will start with an introduction to artificial intelligence, editing with the digital tool Canva or a digital laboratory, where we will explore those digital tools that interest us," adds Gibert. At the Palau civic center, which is located at Can Cortés street, number 44, in the town of Palau-solità i Plegamans, the Punt TIC hosts different groups. "We have a significant number of elderly people, who are very active and who really enjoy the training sessions. We also have people who want to improve their skills with the aim of improving their employability and their access to the job market. In this case, these are younger people", points out Gibert. In short, the Punt TIC supports users in improving their digital skills.

"I've learned about calculators, how to navigate the Internet, search for secure pages and how to take photos with my mobile phone," says user Maria dels Àngels Gómez. "I'm taking a couple of training courses, the spreadsheet course and the mobile phone course. The Punt TIC allows me to learn and get to know digital tools," says user Francesc Marfil. "The Punt TIC has helped me lose my fear of computers and mobile phones. It also allows me to exchange with the participants and the facilitator and keeps me active," adds Gómez. "The Punt TIC creates a community. They help and support each other. You can see that they're having a good time, that they're enjoying themselves and that they're learning. It's very important to promote this beautiful and strong community," agrees Gibert.

The City Council of Palau-solità i Plegamans is firmly committed to the revitalization of the Punt TIC Palau and to bringing together, promoting and boosting digital capabilities, skills and knowledge among the citizens of the municipality.
