For the third consecutive year, the city of Barcelona will become the scene of the third edition of the Women in Data Science conference, a leading meeting in female talent, data science and STEM sectors, where more than 300 are expected to attend professional women from different companies, multinationals, SMEs and start-ups in the territory. So, the successful event will take place next Tuesday, June 6, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., at the Movistar Centre, which is located at Plaça de Catalunya number 16 in the city of Barcelona.
This year, the participation of women from institutions and companies such as the Cybersecurity Agency of Catalonia, Seat, Nestlé or PepsiCo is expected. These will form part of panels and round tables, where key topics will be addressed such as, for example, the challenges of Data Driven, the relationship between Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and the link between Data Science and Cybersecurity. In this sense, some of the participating professional women will be Clara Lapiedra, ambassador of Women in Data Science Barcelona & Madrid; Gina Tost i Faus, Secretary of Digital Policies of the Generalitat de Catalunya; Joanne Pupo of AXA Equitable; Laura Perea from Nestlé; Jessica de Santiago of PepsiCo; Salomé Valero from Kyndryl, or Fabiola Cavaliere from Seat.
The third edition of the Women in Data Science conference is a successful event organized by the Aula Magna Business School as part of the annual edition coordinated by Stanford University in the city of California in the United States, which has more than 150 different headquarters in the world, with the aim of giving visibility to professional women who work in data science and the STEM sectors.
