The Canòdrom , Barcelona's University of Democratic Innovation, hosts, between the 13th and 14th of October , a new edition of the Decidim Fest 2022 organized by the participatory platform Decidim Barcelona .
The event was born in 2019 with the desire to promote the exchange of knowledge, networking and debate between community members and local and international actors working for a stronger democracy. Under the slogan 'The future of the Internet' , this new edition invites us to reflect on the future of the Internet , the risks and dangers that are presented to us in this scenario and the democratic challenges of the Internet of the future.
A program that talks about the future and the challenges of the internet
The kick-off will be on Thursday 13 October with the talk ' We decide and the future of the internet ' by Arnau Monterde, director of Democratic Innovation Services at Barcelona City Council. Then and until 8 pm, the congress will host different debates on how to deprivatize and democratize the network, disinformation strategies, internet regulation, the challenges of sustainability and democratic cities.
On Friday the 14th , it will focus on issues related to the Decidim association with sessions such as the open assembly and the sustainability of the project, co-creation and the redesign of Decidim. You can sign up by registering on the Meta-decidim platform here .
