Barcelona Open Data Initiative and Dones en Xarxa will energize a data exploration session on vicarious violence next Wednesday, July 10, in La Ciba, in the town of Santa Coloma de Gramenet.

Next Wednesday, July 10, the DataWomen team of Iniciativa Barcelona Open Data , with the collaboration of Dones en Xarxa, will organize a data exploration session focused on vicarious violence and sexist violence against minors. Specifically, the DadesxViolènciaVicària proposal will take place from 5.30pm to 7.30pm at La Ciba, located at Passeig de Llorenç Serra, number 64, in the town of Santa Coloma de Gramenet. The session will focus on obtaining information on the impacts of vicarious violence and gender-based violence on minors through the exploration of available open data sources. Once obtained, reviewed and managed, the data will be published so that citizens can access it easily and intuitively.

In this sense, the data collected will be incorporated into the DadesxViolènciaxDones portal, a digital space for information and dissemination based on the open data sources available for the generation of specialized knowledge on male violence, which contains data from the year 2008 to the present. The intention of the DataWomen team of Iniciativa Barcelona Open Data and of Dones en Xarxa is to offer reliable and contrasted information that is useful for people and entities, public and private, that intervene, since the collected contents help analyze the reality of the territory and, consequently, improve the interventions, as well as become an essential tool for raising awareness and for dissemination in an attractive and innovative format.
