In collaboration with the femProcomuns cooperative, next Tuesday, April 22, from 5 to 7 p.m., online training will be offered on fedivers and the alternative social networks Mastodon and Bluesky. The objective will be to learn about alternative social networks and see the opportunities and benefits of migrating collectively to fedivers. In this sense, last January, more than a hundred associations, entities, groups and individuals joined the 'Let's be together' initiative. The dissemination and awareness-raising action consisted of the publication of more than a hundred messages through social networks and through digital channels inviting people to open profiles on Mastodon, one of the best-known social networks in the fedivers. The 'Som-hi juntes' initiative has been brewing over the past few months from the social and solidarity economy environment and has rapidly expanded among people who identify with the values of cooperation, autonomy, sustainability and respect for open digital communities. The aim of the 'Som-hi juntes' initiative was to promote and strengthen the fedivers and leave behind toxic digital spaces that did not prioritize authentic connection, diversity and the well-being of all people. Specifically, the fedivers is an open source and decentralized alternative, that is, there are many different platforms, designed and developed by people who want tools that are truly made to weave respectful social networks without economic intentions.
