As part of Barcelona Open Tech Week 2025, an event that will position the city as a center of technology for the common good at the intersection of democracy, technology and digital rights, on November 7, 8 and 9, Mozilla Fest 2025 will be held at the Poble Espanyol facilities, located at Avinguda de Francesc Ferrer i Guàrdia, number 13, in the city of Barcelona. This year, the fifteenth edition of the festival will continue to promote creative and transformative ideas that promote a better digital world and will bring together more than 2,000 technology experts and more than 200 innovative experiences. The central theme of Mozilla Fest 2025 will be unlearning. Thus, the organization will defend that the future of technology will not be built following the old rules and will propose unlearning deeply rooted issues around systems, customs and assumptions. This will mean rethinking power, questioning who benefits from today's technology, exploring what privacy means in different cultures, and adopting a critical perspective, imagining bold and feasible alternatives, and building them together. Workshops, debates, presentations, exhibitions, forums, and practical collaborations will reimagine the role of technology with professionals like Ruha Benjamin, Chelsea Manning, and Jason Silva. Mozilla Fest 2025 will be open to anyone who wants to build a better Internet, whether they are creators of art, code, or software. The fifteenth edition of the festival will promote spaces to share brilliant ideas and foster thoughtful dialogues that lead to authentic and real change. Ultimately, the goal will be to move toward a more open, inclusive, and engaged digital future.
