This autumn, Barcelona City Council, through the Cibernàrium - Barcelona Activa project, will offer a master class on the hidden side of artificial intelligence, ethical challenges and debates about the future. The informative session will explore the technical limits, social implications, risks and benefits of artificial intelligence through an open, guided and interactive debate and will reflect on the future of technology and the responsibility of citizens in its development and evolution. Privacy and data, impact on work, responsibility in decision-making, manipulation and disinformation, human autonomy, algorithmic discrimination, autonomous weaponry and environmental impact will be the main ethical challenges of the proposal.

Taught by trainer Arnau Ortiz Amenós, a graduate in psychology, professor in UX Research & Design and expert in digital innovation, the proposal will have five in-person editions that will be held in the facilities of five public libraries in the city of Barcelona. Specifically, on Tuesday 21 October, from 6 to 7:30 pm, it will be held at the Sofia Barat Library (L'Eixample); on Friday 24 October, from 6 to 7:30 pm, at the Montserrat Abelló Library (Les Corts); on Tuesday 11 November, from 6 to 7:30 pm, at the Horta Library (Horta-Guinardó); on Tuesday 18 November, from 6 to 7:30 pm, at the Can Fabra Library (Sant Andreu), and on Tuesday 9 December, from 6 to 7:30 pm, at the Sant Antoni Library (L'Eixample).

This will be one of the many master classes that will be given over the next few weeks from the Cibernàrium - Barcelona Activa project of the Barcelona City Council, which aims to support citizens in the acquisition of essential digital skills, the discovery of new emerging technologies and the preparation of recognized professional certifications in a flexible, accessible and dynamic way.
