This summer, Citilab , the citizen laboratory for digital social innovation in Cornellà de Llobregat, will be programming a new edition of Tecnoestiu, aimed at families, summer camps, playgroups and groups of individuals. Specifically, between Thursday 25 June and Friday 24 July, at the Citilab facilities, which are located in Plaça Can Suris, unnumbered, in the town of Cornellà de Llobregat, children from six years old will be able to experiment with technology through a morning of learning and fun. This year, the common thread will be lemons, which will be used to create original and ecological robots. In this sense, the participating children will learn chemistry and see how small robots can be controlled using some fruits as natural energy sources, they will program the movements and personality of the small robots with MicroBlocks, a graphic block application very similar to Scratch, and they will work on creativity by creating unique aspects and discovering the Citilab television set. In this sense, children from six to eight years old must be accompanied by a responsible adult, while children from nine years old can participate independently. Tecnoestiu will seek to bring technology closer in an inspiring and innovative environment. In short, families, summer camps, playgroups and groups of individuals can write to inscripcio@e-citilab.eu to agree on a free morning and discover how lemons can be turned into imaginative robots.
