The project STEMbyme of Telefónica Educación Digital has launched STEM Challenge, an inter-school competition that aims to encourage innovation and collaboration spaces and contribute to the transformation of education. It is aimed at students in the 3rd and 4th course of ESO and to in Secondary Schools and Vocational Training Schools, which can participate in groups of between four and seven students accompanied by a professor or more. They must submit a robotics or coding project in the following areas: Education Digital, E-Health, Smart Industry, Internet of Things (IoT) and Cybersecurity.
During the challenge, teams will shape their project and make it real. The challenge ends on June 30, but before they have to go through the different stages of the competition, so the participants need to start working on it before that date.
There will be a winning team and runner up in each category: Junior (3rd ESO), High (4th ESO) and Advance (Baccalaureate and FP). The winning team in each category will live an experience in a renowned research center in one of the STEM fields (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) and receive a technology grant for each participant. The finalists in each category wins a technological equipment. In addition, the school that submits the best projects will get the prize for the best school, which consist of a technological equipment for the center.
