The Punt TIC Vilafranca Virtual has begun the introductory course in computing and basic digital skills of the ADA program. Currently, fifteen women, primarily unemployed and registered with the Employment Service of Catalonia (SOC), have begun the training, which will last forty hours and will take place over the next few weeks at the Punt TIC Vilafranca Virtual facilities, located at Avinguda Catalunya, number 22, in the town of Vilafranca del Penedès. Specifically, the sessions will focus on the use of hardware and office tools in order to learn how to obtain and process information on a computer, using the basic functions of office computer applications, and taking advantage of the possibilities associated with new technologies to increase access to information, communication, content creation, security or problem solving, among others. The ADA program, managed by the Employment Service of Catalonia (SOC) and financed by European Next Generation funds, has as its central objective to offer digital training to unemployed women, primarily from municipalities with less than 30,000 inhabitants. By acquiring and improving the digital skills of this group, the ADA program aims to promote entrepreneurship and rural development, as well as reduce the gender gap throughout the territory.
