For the second consecutive year, the Òmnia Camins Fundació Point , which is located at Carrer Sant Antoni Abat number 61 in the city of Barcelona, is working on digital skills with the families of Escola Milà i Fontanals, which is located at Carrer Àngels without number of the city of Barcelona. In this context, a special session was held on the occasion of International Women's Day, which was commemorated last Friday, March 8, where participating mothers were supported by obtaining reusable menstrual products from the campaign of menstrual equity of the Generalitat de Catalunya. "The session generated an enriching exchange of knowledge and experiences between the women participants and turned the session into a space for reflection and mutual learning", explains Silvia Hernández, facilitator of the Punt Òmnia Camins Fundació.

The menstrual equity campaign of the Generalitat de Catalunya has shown that, in Catalonia, the difficulty in accessing menstrual products for economic reasons is a reality. In fact, one in four women and menstruating people have experienced difficulties. This menstrual poverty has a negative impact on the health, hygiene, education and social participation of the people affected. For this reason, the Punt Òmnia Camins Fundació and the Farmàcia Gallart worked on the theme and helped the mothers of the Milà and Fontanals School to obtain the single-use QR code from the application or from the website of La My Health and reusable menstrual products. "Digital training for women is a fundamental tool for their empowerment and development. The creation of a space for reflection and mutual learning is key so that these women can overcome challenges and build a full life in the city", says Hernández.

The Òmnia Camins Fundació Point offers digital support to the families of Escola Milà and Fontanals from last January and until next June. Seventeen families are currently participating. Mainly, the sessions focus on topics related to the educational center such as, for example, the web, social networks, digital communications, the processing of the dining service or school authorization documents. However, from the ICT Point, other issues of everyday life are also addressed such as, for example, procedures with the administrations, obtaining scholarships or grants or managing tools or certificates.
