Promoted by Lafede.cat and the La Perifèrica cooperative, the mapping includes the main actors and reference spaces for global justice, including a dozen digital influencers.

Lafede.cat, in collaboration with the cooperative La Perifèrica, has designed a map of actors and reference spaces for global justice. Specifically, the mapping includes the main actors that promote the inclusion of young people, such as, for example, cultural entities and associations, and the main reference spaces that develop issues related to global justice where young people move for leisure and activism, such as, for example, festivals, programs, cultural activities and influencers. "The mapping is the result of a research that deals with youth participation in terms of global justice and, specifically, includes five maps that make visible actors and reference spaces for young people on issues such as the feminist struggle, environmental justice or the anti-racist struggle," says Namar Alimabu, education technician for global justice at Lafede.cat. The initiative identifies around seventy significant names from all over Catalonia with whom you can get in touch and at the same time aims to provide interpretative keys for taking action. In order to present the information collected in a clear, understandable and transparent way, five different small maps have been created, divided into organisations, festivals, popular culture, services and facilities, and digital influencers on social networks. In this last map, that of digital influencers on social networks, some of the names collected are the LGTBI+ disseminator Valentina Berr, the activist Hanan Midan, the journalist Xènia Casado, the musician Alguer Miquel or the content creators Khaoula Boumaaza or Albert Pagà. "Social networks are the space where young people interact the most and where they are most informed about current issues, as well as where they are most politicised", adds Alimabu.

The map of actors and reference spaces for global justice has emerged as a response to the main objective of the research on youth participation in social transformation with a focus on global justice promoted by Lafede.cat and La Perifèrica. In short, the research has explored the active role of young people in the configuration of a just and sustainable society. "The study makes visible that social networks are a space for activism, a space where there is an immediacy of exchange of perspectives in real time, which enables a diversity of opinions and a dialogue that can be very enriching. We believe that there is a great need for digital references, also to counteract the current panorama of polarized public opinion," says Alimabu.
