The Accent Obert organization , in collaboration with the Barcelona City Council, the Catalan Audiovisual Media Corporation, Betevé and Barcelona Activa, has launched the first public space for digital creation in Catalan in Barcelona. The Casa de la Creació Digital en Catalan de Barcelona was created with the desire to respond to a powerful, growing and brilliant reality and become an infrastructure for linguistic, organizational and economic innovation that promotes Catalan talent, offers services and generates employment, business, collaboration and sponsorship opportunities for the digital creation ecosystem. The presentation event, which was held last Thursday, November 20 in the city of Barcelona, had nearly 500 attendees, two round tables on the role of public media in promoting the creation of content in Catalan and the presentation of success stories, the recording of a live podcast, conversations and interviews. The new initiative will seek to build a digital future where Catalan is fully alive and competitive and encourage citizens to choose to create, communicate and live in Catalan within the digital world in an easy and natural way.
