Last July, the Famílies TIC blog was launched with the aim of helping families to encourage the critical use of information and communication technologies in children, in the adolescence and youth. In this line, recently, a new resource has been incorporated: the Manifesto of the Digital Rights of Children and Adolescents promoted by the Secretaria de Polítiques Digitals de la Generalitat de Catalunya, with the collaboration of the Fundació Ferrer i Guàrdia and children and adolescents.

The Manifesto of the Digital Rights of Childhood and Adolescence includes specific demands addressed to public administrations, educational centers, educational agents and families regarding the protection and privacy of personal data, autonomy and support, training in digital tools, social networks and access to digital devices. Children and teenagers demand more understandable, clear and accessible communication, constructive alternatives instead of prohibitions and impediments and security measures on social networks and the Internet. The document is part of the Catalan Charter for Digital Rights and Responsibilities, a project that seeks to define a framework to guarantee human rights in the digital age.

Currently, the Famílies TIC blog has fourteen resources distributed in four areas: prevention and awareness, support for families, screen addictions and cyber security. During the coming months and on a regular basis, it is planned to enrich the Famílies TIC blog with new resources.
