On the 8th and 9th of November, at the Bital Space, the Secretariat of Digital Policies of the Generalitat of Catalonia promoted the Aina Hack , a hackathon lasting twenty-four hours, uninterrupted and face-to-face, to improve public services through solutions based on artificial intelligence and promote the use of the resources generated by the Aina Program to promote Catalan in the digital world. Within the framework of the Artificial Intelligence Strategy of Catalonia and with the help of Eurecat and Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC-CNS), the hackathon brought together twenty participating teams made up of sixty-eight people from 'a dozen counties that developed a solution with artificial intelligence tools aimed at solving some of the major challenges of the Public Administration: simplification and accessibility of administrative information, virtual assistance and automation of digital services, inclusion of Catalan dialects in digital services, and personalization of content for citizens. As a requirement, participating teams had to use the Aina Kit , which includes language models and datasets available to product and service developers of artificial intelligence and language technologies. Participating teams had to present their proposals to a professional jury who took into account criteria such as, for example, originality and degree of innovation, replicability and scalability, and usability and design functional of the solutions. Finally, the first prize went to the 'LAia' team made up of Roger Baiges, Pau Hidalgo, Abril Risso and Cai Selvas and the second one went to the 'CCLab' team made up of Marcos Muñoz, Abril Serrano and Ximena Serrano.
