The ScratchEd Meetups are informal monthly meetings where teachers and educators can exchange ideas and experiences, answer questions and, above all, network with others interested in computational thinking tools for children and youth. March saw the first edition of this event in Barcelona and on May 6 it will be the second.
The participants will discuss how to apply Scratch in the classroom and in extracurricular activities and in what stages of education, etc. and other programs that are born from the visual code block, as Snap! "Scratch the school", which has derivatives which can embroider or print what is 3D program. In fact, the idea is to set the agenda of the meeting right there among all participants on the basis of common interests.
The Meetups are structured in three parts:
- Begin making networking and knowing the interests of the participants.
- Between participants decide the composition of the grid sessions and distribute in different spaces in small groups based on interests.
- Reunite everyone to share the topics. It is a good time to inspire and be inspired.
