What is the Industry 4.0?.

Industry 4.0 is the term that was coined by the German government to describe the intelligent factory, a vision of computerized manufacturing processes all interconnected by the Internet of Things (IoT). It is known as the Industrial Internet of things, I2OT. It is expected that the new concept of industry 4.0 is able to promote fundamental changes to the same level of the first industrial revolution steam mass production of the second and the proliferation of electronic and information technology has characterized third.

Xavier Pi will discuss this new paradigm to the next Dialogue on Science, Technology and Knowledge, which will take place on Thursday 9 March at 19.00 in the room Segarra of the Ateneu Barcelonès.
