Under the title 'Feminist strategies against disinformation and digital sexist violence', the fifth International Data Feminism Conference will be held at La CIBA , located at Passeig de Llorenç Serra, number 64, in the town of Santa Coloma de Gramenet, on Friday, May 16, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will focus on analyzing the impact of disinformation and digital violence on feminist women and their right to participate in public debate. In this sense, the meeting will bring together women experts to analyze the impact of information manipulation on debates on women's rights and digital sexist violence, as well as sharing projects to support women such as, for example, the use of open data. Specifically, throughout the meeting, three key debates will be addressed: disinformation and hate speech: impact on feminism, with a look at the digital dynamics that amplify anti-feminist narratives and question the rights achieved, digital violence against women: silencing feminist voices, which will analyze the effect of this violence on opinion leaders, activists and journalists, and feminist strategies against disinformation and digital violence with experiences, initiatives and good practices to protect and strengthen the voice of women on the internet. The meeting will be promoted by the Data Women team of Iniciativa Barcelona Open Data , which works on the creation of digital tools based on open data with the aim of advancing women's rights.
