The Institute of Human Rights of Catalonia will present next Wednesday, December 18, from 6 to 8 p.m., the results of the study 'Who is behind artificial intelligence in Catalonia?: data and challenges on diversity for to the reduction of discriminatory biases' at the Canòdrom. The Ateneo d'Innovación Digital i Democràtica., located at Carrer de Concepción Arenal, number 165, in the city of Barcelona. In this sense, the latest research by the Institute of Human Rights of Catalonia will offer a first analysis on the state of diversity within the artificial intelligence sector in Catalonia with the aim of identifying areas where biases may arise that affect equality and discrimination. The research collects data from companies, research centers, universities, conferences and associations linked to the study, design, development, promotion and commercialization of artificial intelligence. In particular, Carlos Castillo, professor, Atia Cortés, computer engineer, Noa Monràs, general director for the Promotion and Defense of Human Rights of the Generalitat de Catalunya, and Karlos Castilla, head of research at the Institute of Human Rights, will take part of Catalonia, who will debate the need to develop a strong common strategy with concrete measures.
