Under the title 'Hack the system, build resistance', from March 3 to 5, SETEM Catalunya will organize the tenth edition of the Mobile Social Congress to address current issues from a critical perspective.
With the aim of shifting the focus of the Mobile World Congress celebration and reflecting on the use of new technologies, on Monday 3 March, Tuesday 4 March and Wednesday 5 March, SETEM Catalunya will promote a new edition of the Mobile Social Congress in the city of Barcelona. This year, the tenth edition of the Mobile Social Congress will propose to address from a critical perspective several current issues in relation to the commercialization of new technologies such as, for example, artificial intelligence, and the dynamics and business practices of the technology sector and big tech. The objective of the tenth edition of the Mobile Social Congress will be to generate an alternative, accessible and free space to denounce the injustices of a model of global production and consumption based on extractivism and the externalization of social and environmental impacts to the global south and vulnerable groups. Within the programming, there will be a day hosted by the Som Núvol cooperative, the recording of 'La Turra' with the podcast and music of Alosa and several talks, presentations and conferences on issues of interest regarding new technologies.
