It is expected that by 2020 some 900,000 jobs in the ICT sector can not be filled because there are not enough suitable profiles. This statement contrasts with 47% of unemployed people under 24 years in our country. In Catalonia, about 190,000 young people do not study, do not work or have some precarious employment.
The aim is to improve the technological capabilities of the students and provide them with professional opportunities in the ICT sector. The initiative is based on the experience gained in the project Fit4Jobs developed during the months of June and July 2015, and which has managed to insert into the labor market of 29 to 18 young participants . In this case, enfoca'T proposes 192 training hours in the Java programming language and database, plus individualized monitoring throughout the course and the possibility of joining the group of companies that collaborate in the project.
The program is aimed at young people aged 16 to 30 who are enrolled in the program Youth Guarantee the Ministry of Employment and Social Security and, moreover, are registered at the Employment Service of Catalonia . In total, 100 young people will participate in the training program, training and mentoring. It is expected that 41 of them are able to work at the end of the project.
