This was the second edition of the initiative, which last year brought together more than 10 thousand little programmers. In that case they were Australian. This year the call has been opened worldwide and has been a success.
The organizers went to sleep well at night in Australia and the next day they found that they had 4,000 more participants, reaching 28,575. Record Setter has declared it a world record for children programming on the same day.
Moonhack is an event aimed at children and young people between 8 and 18 years old. It focuses on the space theme and invites participants to use one of the proposed programming activities on their web page or create their own projects. The only condition is that in all the animations a moon must appear at some time. In fact, the initiative is a tribute to Apollo 11.
