This September, the new virtual meeting of the Xarxa Punt TIC Network will focus on the 'Més Digitals' program, which will promote the digital empowerment of more than 90,000 people through more than 9,000 courses that will be taught throughout Catalonia. The new online session will take place next Thursday, September 26, from 10 to 11:30 a.m., and will be aimed at the facilitators and the managing entities of the Xarxa Punt TIC Network. Specifically, the new virtual meeting of the Xarxa Punt TIC network will have the participation of Esther Subias and Imma Martinell of the Shock Plan against the Digital Divide team of the Generalitat de Catalunya. First of all, the two speakers will present the Shock Plan against the Digital Divide and the related training actions. Then, they will explain the opportunities for collaboration between the Xarxa Punt TIC Network community and the 'Més Digitals' program . Finally, a space for exchange and questions will be opened with the participants.
In this sense, the General Directorate of Digital Society of the Department of Business and Labor of the Generalitat of Catalonia promotes the 'More Digital' program which has a budget of 22.7 million euros that will be used to promote the digital empowerment of more than 90,000 people through more than 9,000 courses that will be taught throughout Catalonia to help citizens achieve basic skills in the digital field and at the same time improve their quality of life through the use of new technologies safe, inclusive, sustainable, democratic and equitable way. The courses will be free, face-to-face and aimed at people over 60 and people in vulnerable situations, they will last fifteen hours and will be carried out in small groups. Specifically, three training itineraries will be offered that will adapt to people's previous digital knowledge: 'Discover the digital world', 'Move through the digital world' and 'Enter the digital world'.
