Last Sunday, June 8, the town of La Seu d'Urgell hosted the local tournament 'World Robot Olympiad 2025'. Promoted by the Punt Òmnia of La Seu d'Urgell and the areas of Economic Promotion, Education and Computer Science of the City Council of La Seu d'Urgell, it was held throughout the morning at the Palau Municipal d'Esports of La Seu d'Urgell. Specifically, the event hosted the competitions in the categories 'RoboMission-Start' and 'RoboMission-Elementary' aimed at children aged 8 to 12. In total, around ten teams formed by around thirty boys and girls participated, who put their knowledge of technology and engineering to the test by designing robots capable of overcoming specific challenges. The facilitator of the Punt Òmnia in La Seu d'Urgell, Ester Collado, was part of the competition jury, reinforcing the Punt TIC's commitment to digital learning and to promoting technological vocations among children and young people.

In this sense, the 'World Robot Olympiad 2025' is an international competition promoted by the World Robot Olympiad Association. In Spain, it is organized by the EducaBOT Foundation and +OKOLA. This year, the state grand final of the 'World Robot Olympiad 2025' will be held in the city of Cáceres in September and the international grand final of the 'World Robot Olympiad 2025' will be held in the city of Singapore in November.
