The Cercle Tecnològic de Catalunya is launching the fourth edition of the 'Catalunya Impacta' awards , the program to recognize the best initiatives that highlight the transformative nature of technology in the areas of the economic and social fabric of Catalonia. Specifically, the aim is to highlight flagship cases of implementation of real market innovation in essential economic sectors and central social sectors of the Catalan territory, demonstrate the transformative nature of technological innovation applied to various sectors with specific and measurable results, and inspire all organizations in these sectors to join in the adoption of innovative solutions. In this sense, the 'Catalunya Impacta' awards establish three categories: the primary sector, the industrial sector and the services sector. Therefore, within the primary sector , projects are planned that transform the agricultural, livestock, fishing and extractive industries sectors, allowing for more efficient use and management of natural resources, implementing monitoring and production control systems and ensuring traceability and transparency. Next, within the industrial sector , projects are planned that promote profound changes in industrial systems and the manufacturing fabric, bringing the reality of an industry 4.0 closer, such as production automation systems, predictive maintenance of industrial assets, connectivity and monitoring of the production process. Next, within the services sector , projects are planned that represent a qualitative leap in the business models of service companies thanks to the application of new technologies, such as the optimization of the logistics and goods transport chain, the improvement of the experience and satisfaction of users in retail trade, transformations in the field of tourism promotion and leisure and entertainment services.

The deadline for submitting candidacies is Friday, October 10. The 'Catalunya Impacta' awards ceremony will be on Thursday, November 27 at the Sant Pau Modernist Complex.
