Next Tuesday, March 10, the Barcelona Open Data Initiative will organize a new edition of the Open Data Day. The event, which will take place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the city of Barcelona, will give visibility to projects that use open data to strengthen the quality of public information, tackle disinformation and highlight the role of open data as the basis for a more transparent democracy and more reliable artificial intelligence. In this sense, the Barcelona Open Data Initiative is calling for proposals to identify possible proposals that fit into the new call. Specifically, the Barcelona Open Data Initiative is looking for projects that use open data and generate understandable and comprehensible information that contributes to public debate and encourages informed citizen participation; that support informed decision-making by facilitating analysis, planning and intervention; that promote clear, verifiable and accessible public information, and that generate reliable open databases to feed responsible artificial intelligence projects. The Barcelona Open Data Initiative will analyse all the proposals received and a small selection will be invited to publicly present their experiences and insights within the framework of the celebration of the new edition of Open Data Day.
Interested individuals can submit their proposal through this online link .
