This October, the Barcelona Open Data Initiative has launched a new collaborative challenge. This year, the best digital tools based on open data that promote healthy aging and longevity are being sought. The aim is to identify solutions that have a real impact on the quality of life of older people, promoting their autonomy, well-being and social participation, strengthening public policies and promoting social innovation. In this sense, the Barcelona Open Data Initiative invites everyone to share applications, services and platforms, whether their own or external, that meet four conditions: that use open data as the basis for their operation, that incorporate the gender perspective and data disaggregated by sex, that guarantee technical quality, interoperability and scalability and that are socially useful and replicable in different territories. A jury made up of several experts in innovation, open data and healthy aging will select twenty digital tools that will be part of the official #20opendata ranking and that will be publicly announced from November 4 to 6 within the framework of the Smart City Expo World Congress 2025.

Until next Tuesday, October 28, interested people can submit their proposals here .
