Within the framework of the 'DadesxViolènciaxDones' initiative, a key tool for the analysis of gender-based violence and public resources, the DataWomen team of Iniciativa Barcelona Open Data , with the collaboration of Dones en Xarxa, will promote a new in-person session to share how data can become a useful tool to eradicate violence against women. Specifically, the event will take place next Thursday, May 7, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., in the facilities on the second floor of the MediaTIC building, located at Roc Boronat Street, number 117, in the city of Barcelona. Aimed at people responsible for women's care services, technical people in women's care services, technical people in public administrations, third sector entities, women's organizations and people interested in incorporating the value of data into their projects or interventions, the practical and free in-person session will present new resources that can strengthen the institutional and social response to gender-based violence. In this sense, participants will access updated data on violence against women that will allow them to understand the current situation, interpret useful indicators for projects, services and interventions, analyze interactive visualizations that facilitate the detection of needs, discover data tools that can help plan actions and impacts, and learn about the possibilities of solutions for organizations.
