Promoted by the Xarxa de Biblioteques Municipals of the Diputació de Barcelona, the Punt TIC of the Biblioteca Marc de Vilalba organizes the initiative 'Fiction in Games'.

The ICT Point of the Marc de Vilalba Library , located at 101 Doctor Klein Street in the town of Cardedeu, is promoting the exciting activity 'Fiction in Play'. Promoted by the Barcelona Provincial Council's Municipal Library Network, the fun initiative seeks to reflect, exchange learning and create proposals for promoting digital fiction. "Today, the protagonist of the video game is a little bird who is on vacation on an island, where he walks and meets characters. In this process of traveling around the island, he will discover challenges and live adventures," says Sergi Portela, ICT Point facilitator at the Marc de Vilalba Library. Children, parents and guardians participate in the exciting activity, which consists of playing a digital fiction and discussing the experience. "The first thing we do is welcome the families and talk about their personal experiences with video games. This fact leads us to do a little reflection before starting the game and giving the initial instructions. Also, at halftime, we take another break to assess how the activity is going and talk about the skills worked on and the dynamics generated", concludes Portela.

"This activity is a great way to get to know other alternative games and have a small space where children can share some time with other children in the municipality," says mother Mònica Prados. "They are games that are a little different from what we are used to, they are more leisurely, they are more worked on in terms of concept. It is an activity to see a different reality of games than commercial games," adds father Jordi Gironès.
