Last July, the Famílies TIC blog was launched with the aim of helping families to encourage the critical use of information and communication technologies in children, in the adolescence and youth. Along these lines, a resource has recently been introduced: the guide for cruel and evil families from the Som Connexió cooperative, which promotes a conscious use of technology.

«Our recommendation is to incorporate the mobile phone from the age of 16, and preferably from the age of 18. However, given the current reality, we recommend not incorporating it before the age of 12». This is the initial premise of the guide, which is within the scope of 'support for families'. The new resource focuses on how to accompany children in the incorporation of the mobile phone and on the path to responsible and critical use of new technologies. Specifically, it talks about the ways to cover the need, to differentiate between real needs and created needs and to become aware of the risks. It also proposes a series of phases to introduce the mobile phone and includes messages for fathers, mothers, sons and daughters.

Currently, the Famílies TIC blog has thirteen resources distributed in four areas: prevention and awareness, support for families, screen addictions and cyber security. During the coming months and on a regular basis, it is planned to enrich the Famílies TIC blog with new resources.
