The Table of Entities of the Third Social Sector of Catalonia, through the m4social project and with the collaboration of the SinergiaTIC Association, present the SimbiòTIC project, to advance the digital transformation of the third social sector.

Did you know that today only 25% of Third Sector entities have a CRM system ? And that 62% have difficulty digitizing and due to the lack of funding and resources to deploy digital tools? The SimbiòTIC project wants to implement a CRM system in more than a hundred social entities. A CRM (Customer Relationship Management) is an application that allows all possible interactions between a company and its customers to be centralized in a single database.

It is promoted by the SinergiaTIC entity with the aim of improving the social care and internal management of the entities that are part of the project, but also of others that may be incorporated later. The idea is to generate software that adapts to the present and future needs of organizations in the third sector.

What advantages does it have?

SinergiaCRM will make it possible to manage fundraising, communication campaigns, direct attention to users, payment commitments or an entity's subsidy records, among other functions, from a single space. In addition, you can create and send forms or surveys through the application itself.

This will make it easier for social organizations to have a comprehensive view of the management of their social base and have up-to- date information , thus improving decision-making and data exchange . The project has resources and support from expert professionals and will bet on resources and support from expert professionals so that the implementation is successful.

SimbiòTIC has been submitted to the call for grants from the Next Generation European Funds, published by the Department of Social Rights. The eight federations of the Third Sector Table and SinergiaTIC will be responsible for carrying out this support process and providing resources to the different entities.

New study on the state of digitization in the third sector o_tecnica Mon, 02/14/2022 - 18:52

According to data from the Barometer of the Table of Entities of the Third Social Sector of Catalonia in 2017, only 8% of the entities have someone responsible for innovation . Therefore, m4social publishes a new report that includes an exhaustive analysis to know the level of digital maturity of the Third Sector entities, to know how they use the technology and what needs they have to develop their innovative capacity.

Through this report, they wanted to know the evolution of the adoption of technology by Third Sector entities, identify and understand the main technological trends and establish specific actions.

They have adapted the Digital Checkup self-diagnosis tool , inspired by the questionnaire developed by the SCVO (Scottish Council for Voluntary Organizations) based on four pillars :

1. Organizational culture, leadership and talent . It refers to how we think, behave, and what decisions we make as an entity. Therefore, it is essential to know how the entities, technical teams and governing bodies are structured, the degree of digital training of the people, as well as the talent available in the organization to advance its degree of digitization.

2. Orientation to the user and to the sustainability of the entity . It refers to how data is exploited and used, what tools and resources they use, what technologies they are based on, key strategic approaches to improving the quality of care for people and to designing better services. by the groups they serve.

3. Computer security and data protection. It refers to how Third Sector entities deal with the security of the data they use and online threats, in order to preserve the security of their processes.

4. Communication. Marketing and digital content. It refers to the degree of digital maturity of the entities in terms of communication.

Main conclusions

Some key ideas in the report are:

Improve data management of entities, taking into account the entire data life cycle. It is necessary to optimize the processes of data collection and exploitation and to advance interoperability between administrations and social entities, and between the social entities themselves.
Address ICT from a strategic perspective and design digital transformation plans to better adapt to a changing context.
Improve internal methodologies with the aim of creating a more innovative organizational culture that puts the person at the center.
Adequate staff training in digital skills, knowledge and abilities.

m4Social publica un informe sobre la bretxa digital en les persones ateses pel Tercer Sector o_tecnica Mon, 06/22/2020 - 14:54

Sota el títol 'Persones on, persones off' m4Social va presentar el 16 de juny un estudi sobre l’impacte de la bretxa digital en les persones ateses per les entitats socials que reflexiona sobre les desigualtats de la revolució digital entre les persones en situació de vulnerabilitat que reben serveis i suports a través de les entitats del tercer sector.

L’estudi ha estat elaborat juntament amb la Fundació Ferrer i Guàrdia i mostra com influeix la bretxa digital en col·lectius específics, tals com persones amb discapacitat física; infància, adolescència i joves; persones en situació de pobresa i persones amb problemes de salut mental i drogodependències.

A l'any 2019 les llars de Catalunya amb Internet representaven el 94% però al voltant de 155.000 llars encara no tenen. Els motius? Perquè a aquestes llars no els interessa, no ho consideren necessari i/o no tenen els coneixements.

Aquestes són algunes dades que recull aquest estudi que posa el focus, entre d'altres qüestions, en les barreres sobre l'ús que fan les persones de Catalunya d'Internet, l'accés i la qualitat d'aquest ús.

Algunes conclusions de l'informe són que ni l'accés ni l'us no garanteixen la inclusió social d'aquests col·lectius, sinó que s'assoleix a través de la capacitat de les persones d'apropiar-se de la tecnologia i treure'n un profit que va més enllà de l'esfera digital.

Next Monday, November 18 m4Social of the Board of Entities of the Third Sector of Catalonia is the fourth edition of the M4Social Day . This year they want to focus on one of the concepts of fashion in the field of technological innovation: the big data .

According to the study "The digital transformation of NGOs. Concepts, solutions and case studies", non-profit entities are taking action to adapt and take advantage of the changes that technology brings, but, nevertheless, only 8% of NGOs have a digital strategy defined as such.

The report considers that it lacks "a global strategy as an entity" and that "to survive as an organization it will be necessary to consider a profound change that will transform the operations and that could even rethink the strategy of the entity ".

Publication offers some keys to develop a digital strategy and shows two success stories of organizations that have opted for the social transformation: Save the Children and Arrels Foundation.

Les entitats que volen oferir formacions online estan de sort!

Online and semipresential training allows to adapt the training to the reality of voluntary people, facilitating combining volunteering with professional, family and social life. Thus, the organizations can be more respectful with the time of the students and reach more volunteers and more far away.

With the Viver de formació, the General Directorate of Civic and Community Action intends to equip the organizations that want to bet on online training. It offers:

A virtual space within the Moodle platform, in order to create and develop online courses for volunteering.
Accompaniment in the creation of online training for volunteers.

Those non-profit organizations that are interested in participating in the project can apply through the online form. Depending on the demand, there is the possibility that the accompaniments will be depleted (limited places). For more information, check this link.

The Fundación Esplai convenes VIII Committed Citizenship Awards. To recognize the work of people with an exemplary trajectory i denfese of of social causes, "being inspiring and motivating to other people and organizations."

The awards are divided into three categories:

Boosting the Third Sector
Social and educationa action
Working for e-inclusion

Can be candidates individuals residing in Spain. Nominations can be submitted by individuals or non-profit organitzations, but not the own candidates. To do so, they must complete this file and send it to the address ealiaga [at] fundacionesplai.org before 15 September 2017.

In all three categories the awards will be a diploma and a commemorative sculpture. The awards ceremony will be held at the Casa del Lector, Madrid, November 19, under the Foro17.

El Teb has an Òmnia telecentre in the Raval district of Barcelona. They like to lend a hand to the third sector organizations with their digital media. They offer training and counseling, working with various adminitrations and organizations. This May they start a course specially designed for nonprofit organizations that do not have online presence. They will learn to create a website and get started on social networks.

Create the website of your organization with WordPress is a very practical course, which accompanies students step by step in the creation of their website with the WordPress platform. It is an easy to use tool that allows to create and manage free web sites tailored to the needs of each organization. The course also helps discover the best ways to disseminate communications through social media.

The training is aimed at workers and volunteers of third sector organizations and is recognized by theTraining Plan and Voluntary Associations of Catalonia (PFAVC). It is an online course, from 2 to 28 May and it will require a commitment of 20 hours approximately. It costs 15 euros per participant. Registration can be made through this form.

Through this training students will learn:

What we need to communicate? The participants value what and how they want to communicate.
Four keys for digital communication: Tips to know how to write content in a digital medium.
The structure of our website. Consider how to organize information.
How do I...? Insert photos, share videos, creating a photo album insert maps, classifying content ... Our website will allow this and much more!
Extensions and design: make extensions and change the layout of the blog in one click.

The course students will be able to implement everything they learn by creating the website of the company at the blogging platform of xarxanet.org . In the case of having a blog and want to implement in it the learnings of the course, it will have to be created with WordPress and installed on your own server.

How to convert a classroom course in a virtual one? How to transform the dynamics of the classroom in a virtual environment? With this proposal el Teb aims to give a helping hand to all those organizations that offer training and want to change them in order to offer online courses and blended learning. They want to introduce tools and working methods in the online training offered by the third sector and facilitate the expansion and transformation of traditional classroom training, specifically:

learn and practice capabilities and resources of Moodle virtualization training and revitalization of distance learning courses,
practice learning by the online learning platform Moodle, and
experiment with and reflect on online training methodologies.

The course can be completed online from 10 April to 14 May 2017. It will have a duration of 30 hours, with six weeks of work. Requires a commitment of five hours per week, with free distribution of hours throughout the week.

This training is aimed at volunteers or technical team that design and implement training in their organization and want to incorporate distance learning or mixed models between training and distance learning. The price is 15 euros per participant and registration is now open. People who pass the course (participation and evaluation) will receive a certificate of the Training Plan of Volunteering of Catalonia.

The technical requirements to successfully complete the course are: computer with updated browser and internet connection. The participant must have a good level of ICT knowledge.
